The star, Ryan Reynolds, has recorded an excellent video for the fans of the Marvel universe. The actor announces “Deadpool 3”, reveals the movie’s release date, and promises a totally unexpected return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
Deadpool is a character who made his first appearance in the comics in 1991 under the pen of Rob Liefeld. If the character is a relatively common mutant in the beginning, he will evolve to become the decerebrate mercenary we all know today.
On the big screen, Wade Wilson has appeared three times. First in 2009 alongside Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, then twice in his solo adventures in Deadpool and Deadpool 2, released respectively in 2016 and 2018. Since the buyout of 20th Century Fox by Disney, the X-Men saga, and more broadly all mutants, now belong to Marvel Studios. As for Deadpool, he will enter this connected universe on the occasion of Deadpool 3, directed by Shawn Levy, which will be anchored in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
However, on Tuesday, September 27, Ryan Reynolds lit a real fire on his Twitter account. Indeed, the actor released a one-minute video (as a front-page article) in which he talks about Deadpool 3. And as usual with Ryan Reynolds, this little sequence is hilarious.
Keeping his cool, the actor looks at his preparation for the role and the creative process of this Deadpool 3. Not surprisingly, the video makes fun of the artist. With his legendary irony, Ryan Reynolds explains that he went deep inside himself to rediscover himself, especially to explore the depths of the Deadpool character. He ends his tirade, which is hilarious, by saying that he didn’t find anything, that he didn’t write anything, and above all that he has no idea for this third part. No idea? Really?
It is at this precise moment that the tidal wave occurs. A man takes a back seat. And while it’s hard to recognize him, Ryan Reynolds says: “Hey Hugh, do you want to play Wolverine again?
Yes, in the background, the most observant will recognize Hugh Jackman, the famous interpreter of Logan, who passes nonchalantly and answers his friend: “Yeah, sure, Ryan”. This is followed by a hilarious musical sequence, in which Whitney Houston’s famous I Will Always Be Loving You is derived into I Will Always Be Loving Hugh. Finally, a Deadpool logo with Wolverine’s claws closes this cult intervention.
Everything is exciting in this video: the phlegm and the humor of Ryan Reynolds, his will to remind that he is one with his character, the appearance of Hugh Jackman, the blasé answer of the latter, the camera look of Ryan Reynolds that says more than a long speech, and this derivation of Whitney Houston’s hit. Everything is perfect!
This is not the first time Ryan Reynolds has tried to bring Hugh Jackman back into the role of Logan. In any case, fans will be thrilled to be able to see the superhero again, whose last appearance was in the film Logan (2017). To see the result, see you in theaters on September 6, 2024!
