The COVID-19 pandemic remains dramatic in Malaysia. Kementerian Kesihatan, the Malaysian Ministry of Health, announced that the country had recorded 3,045 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number in the country to 4,735,547.
Among the new cases, there are 3,040 intra-community infections. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 has also increased to 36,085 after 12 patients have not yet survived.
The Malaysian state has an additional 4,226 patients cured of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cures to 4,656,031 people.
To date, Malaysia has 43,431 SARS-CoV-2 positive cases, of which 72 severe cases are in intensive care.
Currently, 86% of the Malaysian population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine; 84.1% have received two doses; 49.6% have been administered the 3rd injection and 1.2% the 4th.
