The wealthy Central Park Tower, the world’s tallest residential condominium, is on track to break a new record with its US$250 million apartment for sale.
In this luxury tower, a triplex penthouse located at 217 West 57th Street, the alley of billionaires, is expected to hit the market on Monday for the indecent sum of US$250 million, or more than $330 million Canadian, according to the New York Post.
Should the sale go through at the asking price, it would become the most expensive home ever sold in the country. Such a high purchase would crush the record currently held by billionaire Ken Griffin, who spent about US$238 million for four floors across the street.
This apartment, the Central Park Tower Penthouse, features three levels – from the 129th to 131st floors – with interior space that spans approximately 17,500 square feet.
We can find a 133-square-meter (1,433-square-foot) outdoor terrace with a breathtaking view of the city, the highest private terrace in the world and the highest private ballroom on the planet.
