Some of the upcoming variants covers for Marvel Comics will be based on the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Comics has shown off several covers from its Infinity Saga Variant Covers line. In March and April, Marvel will put out the comic books with the new covers that have been shared.
The cover of Black Panther #15 is based on the 2018 movie about the character. Ken Lashley is the artist who made it. On the cover, Black Panther is wearing a costume that looks like the one he wears in the movie. It also has pictures of Shuri, Killmonger, Zuri, Nakia, Ramonda, and Okoye, that look like the actors who played them in the movies. The 2018 movie was the first superhero movie ever nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Artist Peach Momoko was inspired by Brie Larson’s role in the movie when she made the cover for Captain Marvel #47. On March 15, Black Panther #15 and Captain Marvel #47 will both come out. Steve Skroce, an artist, made the cover for Doctor Strange #1. Doctor Strange uses his magic and reads a book at the same time. Doctor Strange also wears the Eye of Agamotto, which holds the Time Stone. On March 22, Doctor Strange #1 will come out. The fight between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok is shown on the cover of Thor #32. Artist Mahmud Asrar made the cover. In the movie, the Grandmaster captured Thor and made him fight the Hulk (Jeff Goldblum). The plot of the movie about Hulk was based on the story of the Planet Hulk comic book from 2006 to 2007, written by Greg Pak and drawn by Carlo Pagulayan and Aaron Lopresti.
The first issues of Captain America: Cold War Alpha and Guardians of the Galaxy will come out on April 12. The variant cover of Captain America: Cold War #1 is based on the first Phase Three movie, Captain America: Civil War, which came out in 2016. The eyes of Captain America and Iron Man are shown at the top and bottom of the cover. In the middle of the cover is a recreation of the fight scene between the two Avengers at an old Hydra facility. The fight scene on the cover is a copy of the cover of Civil War #7, where the movie’s story comes from. Guardians of the Galaxy #1’s cover is based on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which came out in 2017. It has pictures of the characters that resemble the actors who played them in movies. Baby Groot and Ego the Living Planet are also on it. Marvel Comics has already released different covers inspired by Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Avengers #65 came out on February 1. It has a different cover that was inspired by Avengers: Infinity War.
In Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Infinity Saga storyline, which began with Iron Man in 2008, ended. Many movies and TV shows that have come out since Phase Three ended have been about what happened after Josh Brolin’s Thanos killed half of all life in the universe. “Phase Four is about how the characters react, not how we as filmmakers react. It’s a response to how scary Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame were. “Richie Palmer, head of production and development at Marvel Studios, talked about the MCU’s new projects. “Years later, we still feel the effects of that in these movies.” The Multiverse Saga, the current phase of the MCU, began with Phase Four.
Avengers #65 is now on sale. It has a variant cover that was inspired by Avengers: Infinity War.
