After a long silence of almost twelve years since Bill Gates and Warren Buffett launched, in 2010, “the pledge,” Jeff Bezos decided to join this movement of billionaires, which consists in giving the majority of their fortune.

According to several sources, the fortune of Jeff Bezos is 124 billion dollars. A sum that makes him the fourth-richest person in the world. Once at the top of the world ranking, his fortune has largely declined due to the decline in the share price of Amazon, a stock on which his fortune largely depends. Jeff Bezos is also the owner of the Washington Post newspaper, the space company Blue Origin and the Bezos Earth Fund, a fund dedicated to the planet that he launched in 2020 with 10 billion dollars.

Jeff Bezos wants to make sure his donations are used in the most efficient way possible. “We’re building the capacity” to do that, he said in the interview, where he appeared alongside his partner, Lauren Sanchez.
