Fans of One Piece are familiar with Luffy’s adversaries and would welcome the return of a well-known opponent. Rob Lucci has indeed returned, and now the Cipher Pol agent is rechallenging Luffy. They still stand on the Grand Line years after their first fight, and Lucci has debuted a new form for the occasion.

Furthermore, he does not possess any Devil Fruits. Lucci has progressed in using the Cat-Cat Fruit, revealing his Awakened form.

As seen in the image above, when Lucci consumes the Awakened variant of the Cat-Cat Fruit, he takes on a more human appearance. As you’d imagine, Lucci’s stats skyrocketed; however, unlike his standard leopard form, his individuality isn’t completely obliterated by the Awakened power. Nonetheless, he is free to act as he pleases, using his claws and bloodthirstiness to accomplish his goals.

An Awakened Lucci faces up against an Awakened Luffy in the most recent chapter of One Piece, and the rivalry between the two is intense. Lucci can hold his own in a fight with Luffy, and he even survives being shot with a Mogura Pistol. Lucci has been putting in the work in the gym since we last saw him, and he’s prepared to give Luffy a run for his money this time around.

That is easier said than done, of course. Luffy’s Awakened form is among the most potent in the game, and he spreads like wildfire when he uses it. Lucci must realize the state was essential in his defeat of Kaido. But now that he has completed yet another transition, can you hold the agent responsible for trying its hand at anything new?
