A new photo of Charlie Day’s Luigi has been posted to the movie’s official Twitter account with the description, “When you truly need your bro.” A new image shows the Shy Guys, easily identifiable by their distinctive red hoods, dragging Mario’s twin brother across the surface of a rock while lava pours underneath. It would appear that Luigi is in dire need of assistance as he stares at a balloon containing additional Shy Guys.
The trailers and character posters released thus far give us a glimpse of the film’s vibrant, colorful animation and the extraordinary attention to detail provided by the creators. So far, we’ve seen several IP features, such as Mario Kart karts and Rainbow Road, the famous Question Blocks, building girders from Donkey Kong, and Peach’s Castle.
