The 23rd is World Water Day 2023 with the goal of “Accelerating Change” to solve the water and sanitation crisis.
This event day aims to change the behavior of the Earth’s inhabitants to make small steps to change the way they use, exploit, consume and manage water.
The organization of this World Water Day joins with the beginning of the United Nations Water Conference 2023, which will be held from March 22 to 24, in New York.
The sponsors of this day are Tajikistan and the Netherlands, this meeting aims to make a midterm review of the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water and Sustainable Development” (2018-2028) to help countries achieve the goals and benchmarks on water set for the period 2018-2028.
This unique event, World Water Day, has been held on March 22 every year since 1993, and is a United Nations celebration that focuses on the importance of freshwater.
It is high time for change and to make everyone aware of the situation of the 2.2 billion people who live without access to clean water. It is about taking action to address the global water crisis. One of the main objectives of World Water Day is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation for All by 2030.
