With the Ballon D’or and our opinion on who should have won it, let’s see who will be the most likely to win the Best Fifa Men’s Player Award.
  1. Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)

The man seems to be scoring goals for fun lately especially when having been placed the lowest in the Ballon D’or rankings in almost 10 years the Portuguese legend is here for revenge. Of course, if he continues this great form and keeps scoring goals, we might have to change our opinion on his position.

Although up to this point let’s see what gives him the privilege to be in this top 3. In the last year, he won the Copa Italia, netted 29 goals in the Serie A to be the top goalscorer, became the top international goal scorer with 115 goals scored as of now, Broke Michel Platini’s record of 9 goals in the European Cup ending up with 14 by the end of the tournament and won the Euro Cup golden boot. He truly has been unstoppable.

Lionel Messi - FC Barcelona - tight shot

  1. Lionel Messi

A nightmare to all defenders in Europe La Pulga had one of his best seasons yet.

Winning the Copa Del Rey with Barcelona, winning his first international trophy (Copa America) with La Albiceleste, Breaking Pele’s international goalscoring record and becoming the South American with the most international goals in history, winning the Copa America golden boot and being named the best player of the competition, Winning La Liga Golden Boot with 30 Goals and 38 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances.

All these stats can truly show you why he is a favorite.

  1. Robert Lewandowski

He was our favorite for the Ballon D’or and he is our favorite here.

Winning the Club World Cup, Winning the Bundesliga, Breaking Gerd Muller’s record and scoring 41 league goals, winning the European Golden Shoe, scoring 60+ goals across all competitions, banging in 3 goals for his national team in the Euros, and winning the DFL-Supercup.

He has been undeniably the best player this year and deserves the award no questions asked.
