This time around, the action of Glass Onion takes place in Greece, on the private island of billionaire software genius Miles Bron (Edward Norton), where a murder occurred. Before this, viewers met a colourful ensemble of suspects and prospective victims as they deciphered puzzle boxes, collected invitations, and made their way to a paradise-themed mixer packed with even more riddles. When death happens on the island, though, they understand it’s no game and send investigator Blanc to investigate.

Johnson discussed the next mystery in an interview with Netflix’s TUDUM, where he said that the tough part is coming up with an original, thrilling story that ends on an emotionally high note and keeping the audience on their toes.
Craig and Norton are joined in Johnson’s latest mystery by an all-star cast that includes Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madeline Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista. Tragically, the film will also feature the final on-screen appearances of Broadway great Stephen Sondheim and Murder, She Wrote actor Angela Landsbury, both of whom passed away within the past year. Johnson’s longtime producing partner Ram Bergman will be on board in addition to his writing and directing. As part of a $450 million contract with Netflix, the creator is releasing two more Knives Out mysteries.
There’s No Doubt That Netflix’s New Show “Glass Onion” Will Be a Huge Hit.
Glass Onion looks to be one of Netflix’s most successful movies ever. Since its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, the film has earned nearly universal acclaim; Steve Weintraub and Ross Bonaime of Collider were among those who gave it high ratings. Reviewer Bonaime scored the picture an A+ on the website, complimenting its subversion of mystery genre conventions and the enjoyment it provided thanks to its stellar ensemble. For Netflix, having a film debut in theaters is extremely unusual. Starting on Friday, November 23 and running through Sunday, November 29, the film will make history as the first Netflix original to play in theaters throughout the country at Cinemark, Regal, and AMC.
For the first time on December 23, Glass Onion will reveal its secrets in time for the holidays.
