Me Time Alone at Last is the new Netflix comedy

Comedian Kevin Hart plays a stay-at-home dad who finally gets some time to himself in “Me Time: Alone at Last”. But his old friend Mark Wahlberg takes him on a wild ride…

The multifaceted actor Kevin Hart is back on Netflix with Me Time: Alone at Last. A comedy in which he plays Sonny Fisher, a stay-at-home dad who gives it his all, getting 200% involved in his kids’ school activities. Sonny is so dedicated that when his girlfriend Maya (Regina Hall) takes their children on holiday, he realizes that he hasn’t been alone in ages.

Finally free to manage his time, Sonny gets a call from his oldest friend Huck (Mark Wahlberg), a hard-core party animal. For his 44th birthday, Huck has organized his version of Burning Man in the Californian desert and, of course, offers to come along. Reluctant to let go, Sonny agrees to go anyway and is not at the end of his surprises.

The scenes unfold; between a confrontation with a puma, the kidnapping of a turtle, and a fight with a threatening businessman who wants to recover a large sum of money, the stay looks eventful. But for the sake of his childhood friend, Sonny is willing to push the envelope.

The two comedians, Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg, are both specialists in comedies centred on tumultuous friendships. The former starred with a teddy bear played by Seth MacFarlane in Ted and its sequel. These two entertaining stoner movies offered much more offbeat and less conventional scenes than Me Time: Alone at Last, which is content to line up deceptively crazy adventures to remind the viewer sitting on the couch that there’s nothing better than tidy family life. He also forged an unexpected friendship with Will Ferrell in Very Bad Cops and Very Bad Dads when things looked terrible for them.
