Assassinations and murders always have the same false source, the “deicide people” and this is one of the oldest anti-Semitic stereotypes, and has been used throughout history to incite hatred of Jews.
Anti-Semite Jamie Foxx is at the heart of a controversy, following the publication of a text on Friday on his Instagram account. A text that was quickly pinned as conveying anti-Semitic stereotypes.
“They killed this guy named Jesus… what do you think they’re going to do to you? #fakefriends #fakelove,” Foxx wrote in capital letters to his 16.7 million followers. While it’s unclear who the actor was addressing with this message, many have pointed out that the notion of Jewish deicide – Jews considered collectively responsible for the murder of Jesus – has been a key element of Christian anti-Semitism for centuries.
Jamie Foxx’s message is reminiscent of the anti-Semitic attacks by rapper Kanye West, who attacked the Jewish community following his trashy messages. Sadly, Jennifer Aniston, “liked” Foxx’s now-deleted Instagram post, distanced herself shortly afterwards.“It makes me really sick. I didn’t ‘like’ that post on purpose or by accident. And more importantly, I want to be clear with my friends and anyone hurt by this appearance on their Instagram feeds – I do not support any form of anti-Semitism,” she said in an Instagram story. “I really don’t tolerate any form of hate of any kind. Period.”
By dint of frequenting thugs and antisemites, mistakes can happen, and she let herself get dragged into this scandal, next time Jennifer Aniston will have to choose her friends a little better and not like without a second thought.
