Archie’s Seasonal Magic Special is out just in time for the season of joy, and the Riverdale gang is celebrating with an all-new anthology of holiday stories. While Archie is debating who to take to the Snow Ball, a spirit guide will appear and lead him on a journey through his past, present, and future. Stories by Micol Ostow, Michael Northrop and J. Torres, and art by Gretel Lusky, Arielle Jovellanos, Dan Schoening, and Matt Herms, with colours by Matt Herms and letters by Jack Morelli, are included in the book.

Anthology editor Jamie Rotante thanked the incredible talent that contributed to the second anthology title under the new publishing plan-she compliments  Micol, Michael, J, Gretel, Arielle, Dan, Matt, and Jack   for bringing these stories to life in ways “far better than what we expected.” Not just for the holidays, but for all readers, young and old, it’s a wonderfully lovely Archie comic book from start to finish.

As a bonus, Riverdale also celebrates Hanukkah in the novel, making it even more spectacular. For Christmas, Rotante felt that festive inclusivity was both vital and beautiful.

In addition to telling a Hanukkah story, Rotante is pleased to convey a Christmas storey as well. As a company, Archie values inclusivity above all else, and she is thrilled to have Micol create such a beautiful and entertaining narrative for the season.

In addition, Archie’s Holiday Magic Special provides something for everyone. Fans of both Little Archie and the teen and adult versions of the character will find much to enjoy in this issue.

According to Rotante, the creative teams who worked on each narrative “nailed that” when it came to depicting Archie’s life at that time. “Both J and Gretel’s lovely, animated graphics brilliantly portray the child’s experience in the stories of Little Archie. It was a no-brainer to have Micol handle the present-day Archie storey, and Arielle’s vivid, colourful, and appealing art mixes the humour and heart so nicely. There were a few laugh-out-loud moments and vibrant graphics by Michael and Dan that perfectly captured the feel of future Archie. For Archie fans everywhere, this is a must-have present.”

Even though Riverdale’s annual Snow Ball is just around the corner, Archie still can’t decide who he should bring along: Betty or Veronica? Indecisiveness: Has he always been this way? Is he ever going to stop? Is he doomed to be alone because of his flaws? These questions are answered in three unique stories, which take the reader on a journey of self-discovery. Classic holiday stories like It’s a Wonderful Life are blended with the over-the-top romanticism of a Hallmark Christmas film in this heartwarming and amusing holiday tale
