In order to have her son tested positive for Covid, a young American woman from Texas put him in the trunk of her car. The mother, who was arrested, was released on 1500 dollar bail.

The boy’s mother was afraid of being infected herself. Sarah Beam, an American woman living in Texas, is facing criminal charges for locking her 13-year-old son, infected with Covid, in the trunk of her car.

The 41-year-old woman went to Houston’s Pridgeon Stadium, a drive-through testing site, on Monday, January 3, where you can get tested without leaving your car. On the spot, she explained that she came for her child, who tested positive in a previous test. The mother then told one of the officials that she preferred to put her child in the back seat to reduce the risk of contamination.

Surprised, the test site employee asked to see the teenager. She then told him that no testing would be done until he was in the back seat of the vehicle.

The police warned of this abnormal situation and with the help of video surveillance cameras, found and arrested the teacher on Saturday, January 8, for allegedly endangering a child.  She was released the next day on a 1500 dollar (1320 euro) bail.
