Jennifer Lawrence said “I remember when I was shooting ‘Hunger Games'” confided the former star of Hunger Games and X-Men, “no one had yet put a woman in the lead of an action movie because it would not have worked – because we were told that women and boys identified with a male hero but boys could not identify with a female hero.
Jennifer Lawrence wants to be the talk of the town to promote her movie, but the reality is different, Sigourney Weaver is the perfect example with Allien in 1979. Before Sigourney, it was Carrie Fisher, the pioneer of the action role for a woman, the unforgettable Princess Leia in Star Wars in 1977.
So Jennifer, good advice, reread your film books, and it will prevent you from saying untruths; you are an outstanding actress, but a little humility would not hurt you.
The Hunger Games will be back in theaters with a prequel, The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird in theaters on November 15, 2023, directed by Rachel Zegler (West Side Story).
