The whimsical billionaire Elon Musk, the wealthiest man in the world, lost more than 100 billion USD in 2022, reported Tuesday, November 22, by the Bloomberg agency.
According to the latter, Mr. Musk lost USD 100.5 billion, more than the other people in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The entrepreneur is still the richest person, with 169.8 billion USD.
Bloomberg notes that Mr. Musk lost USD 8.6 billion on Monday, November 21 alone, as shares in his electric carmaker Tesla fell to their lowest level in two years.
The bad things are piling up for Elon Musk because Tesla is the most profitable branch of his group, and for a few weeks now, Tesla has been experiencing significant problems. Moreover, Tesla is the origin of his colossal fortune. Still, by buying Twitter, Elon Musk has taken huge risks, and financial analysts have the impression that he bought Twitter as one believes in a toy and makes a whim.
The proof is evident, he fired half of the staff, reinstated the accounts of very complicated people, and wants a “general amnesty” for the suspended accounts on Twitter. Playing Zorro is good, but he might as well do it with respectable and respected people; otherwise, he would do better to take the role of Bernardo and stop denigrating the former employees of Twitter
